That’s an insane sentence!! After I wrote The Art of Loving Ellie, I had no idea what my writing journey would bring, or where it would take me. I had no idea how much fun it would be, how difficult it would be, or how truly rewarding it would be to have my very own words out there in the world.

When my husband and I started dating, I knew from the moment I met him we had something special between us. I've always believed that love conquers everything, even the platonic kind. There's nothing that can stop love. So to be able to spin love stories and fantasies into words for friends, family, and strangers alike... I have no doubt that it's my calling. One that I don't take lightly and one that I cherish. I'm grateful for this gift! It's a way to express myself, soothe my anxiety, and channel my everyday stressors! But mostly, it's a way to escape with you all and give our brains some much needed happiness, even if it's for a short while.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me, shared my posts, pre-ordered, and showered me with love! Here's to shooting for the stars and landing where it counts

The fight ensues as the blonde bartender I was speaking to swiftly swings his body over the bar, rushing to break it up. I watch the tattooed, rough-edged men and women take a scolding from the young man like toddlers. They stare at the ground as he rips the pool sticks from their hands and tells them to break it up or get out.

I'm frozen to my chair with a mixture of awe and fear. I turn back to our table where I left Juliana, but I'm surprised to see that she isn't there. Damn, she probably missed the whole fiasco. My heart is still hammering away over the commotion. I've never seen a physical altercation like this before. The closest thing to a fistfight I've ever seen was in first grade when Emmy-Lou slapped Sarah across the face for stealing her bow right off her head.

Everyone sitting next to me at the bar turns away from the commotion as if this is just another Saturday night occurrence and a rough voice touches my ears, making me jump in my seat. "What do you need?"

"Excuse me?" I blink a few times, slightly offended by his bluntness.

He glares at me for a beat, and I take the liberty of glaring back. I first notice his bright blue eyes set under dark brows that pull his handsome face into a scowl. His thick black beard is closely trimmed, and I flick my gaze down to his forearms that are resting on the bar. I follow various striations of ink and images blending to create sleeve tattoos up both arms before settling my eyes on a skull tattoo covering his right hand.

He straightens up, placing those big hands on the bar top and shifts his attention away from me, insinuating he’d rather be conversing with a wall. "What can I get you."

What should be a question delivers as a blunt statement, and I'd consider him drool-worthy if he wasn't being such an ass.

I pull my shoulders back, tapping my shoe against the front of the chair under my feet. "What's a Pound Puppy?"

He finally drags his gaze to me, narrowing his blues. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Juliana return to our table, completely oblivious to any of the fuss.

"It's a nickname we give girls like you who don't belong here. Now, what can I get you?"

Yup, definitely an ass.

Hello readers! We are finally coming up on the end of one very terrible year--yeesh

I wanted to officially announce that I have started writing my second novel!! It's been an exciting ride and one I absolutely cannot wait to share with you all.

Here are some things you should know:

*It's a bit different than Ellie in the way that it's got a lot of action going on. Which is so stinkin' fun to write, let me tell you!

*It's going to be a series, though not totally connected. Same world, different main characters. You know, that whole deal. (Ellie is a stand alone, so this series will not feature that world or those characters)

*It'll be released... TBD. I would love to have it in your hands by the end of the summer 2021, so that is my current goal!

Editing and revising takes such a long time! Who knew? Anyway, just wanted to update my page a bit.
