Terre Reed is an artist who paints in oil. But after her husband’s death, her life shifted and she became an author, too. Reed uses oil painting, prose, and poetry to express emotion, to release. Today, she helps others feel validated by sharing her experience and offering them the hope that they can lead a rich and rewarding life, even after traumatic loss.

I know what it is like to lose a spouse and a forty-year relationship. I know what it is like to have life shattered, to feel powerless, sad, overwhelmed, and in pain. My story is one of evolution. I have learned to fill the void and discover and create my new self, not by forging ahead, but through gratitude and acceptance. I have found joy, calm, and peace.

Thanks for your question. I find it interesting that the book you wrote, Sneaky Snobby, is a youth rhyming book. My favorite books vary, but my one standout is Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo. I love the story, the message, and the architecture of her writing. It is a young adult book written in verse. I like it so much that I have decided to challenge myself and attempt to write my next book in chapter verse. Ironically, it is a book about creativity!(less)
