KC Pearcey published her first poem in the Tylertown Times newspaper at the age of ten, and she has been writing ever since.

At the age of sixteen, she wrote and produced her first play for her high school. While attending Mississippi College, she won the Bellamann Award for creative excellence for her five-volume poetry collection, the Southern Literary Award twice for her adult plays, and numerous other awards for her six original children's plays written for production by drama workshop classes.

Through the years, she has written and produced numerous plays, skits, essays, poems, children's programs, and murder mystery dinner theatres for churches, schools, friends, and family.
