Cate loves all things historical. Before she could read she was often found with a book in her hands looking at the pictures of long forgotten worlds. It’s no wonder she went on to graduate with a double Bachelor’s degree in Classics and Medieval Studies (Canterbury University). She also holds a PhD focusing on ancient literature (Otago University).
The other love in her life is travel. She has lived on several continents, and traveled off the beaten track in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
When she’s not writing, she can be found reading, or re-reading, her favorite books, discovering the wilderness of New Zealand, or sharing a meal (excellent wine is always included) with friends.
