April Showers
Dear Readers,
Happy April to you all. Spring is in the air and I'm so glad the warmer weather is finally starting to arrive and the rain is being sent packing on its way.
Two weeks ago, "The Sloth Zone" was officially released on Amazon. I'm so happy with some of the brilliant feedback I've received on it. Gemma's story was a lot of fun to write and I'm glad you're enjoying her character. I've just started working on the third book in the series involving Fernando. I anticipate it coming out late this winter.
In the interim, I'm playing around with the idea of a gymnastics novella. I've always wanted to write one and I have tons of ideas for stories, however, I just haven't been able to find enough time to devote to it. That's been one of the recurring problems of late. I've been devoting my date hours to dissertation reading and research.
Lastly, I wanted to mention that next week, APril 15-22, I'm going to be running a spring book sale. Dancing With a Royal and Jiving With a Royal are going to be on offer for .99 and 1.99 on Amazon. If you've been considering grabbing your copy, that might be the best week to do so.

Hello March
Dear Readers,
Long time no update. I'm sorry! I promise this isn't intentional. I've just been scrambling for time.
I'd intended to write a blog post 2 weeks ago, but unfortunately, I've been dealing with some carpal tunnel in my wrist and a bond bruise on my elbow. I've been limited to 1 arm the past few weeks and it's been miserable.
As such, I've been focusing on my day job and my schooling. I've been digging through archives and working on writing a draft chapter of my dissertation....and well academic writing isn't nearly as much run as romcom writing.
The Sloth Zone was officially sent out to my review team about 2 weeks ago. So far, the feedback has bee positive, and I'm really excited for everyone to meet Gemma and Tim. Their story is a bit different form the typical stories I've written. It will release soon. Stay tuned.
I've also been playing around with my first person POV story. I'm about 30K words into it and I'm happy with the direction the draft is taking. I've had to mentally adjust to how I think as I write. It's been a fun challenge and i can't wait to see how its received.
Lastly, More Than a Passing Shot has received a beautiful new cover. If you haven't already checked it out, make sure you do so soon! It's up on Amazon and will soon be available on other platforms.

Long time no update. I'm sorry! I promise this isn't intentional. I've just been scrambling for time.

January Updates
Dear Readers,
Happy belated new year and 2024! I hope you're staying nice and toasty amid the spell of cold weather we're having (unless you're in a hemisphere where it's summer in which case I hope you're staying cool).
It's been a whole month since the release of "The Rules of the Rink". I want to thank each and every one of you for your continued support. I deeply appreciate it!
If you've had the chance to read TROTR, what did you think? Have you enjoyed it? It would mean a lot to me if you were able to leave a review for it on Amazon, Goodreads, and or Bookbub if you haven't already done so.
I'm happy to report that the next book in the series has been sent off for edits. "The Sloth Zone" will feature the story of Gemma, Frankie's bestie. I haven't yet decided if I'll be writing a third book in the series featuring Fernando, but if i do, it will be out later this year.
For now, I'm working on a project that's related to the Unexpected Royals series. I've always wanted to write a book in first person too and this just seemed like the ideal opportunity. We're still a little too early along to give out too many details, but you will be seeing Clarissa Lee and her friend Sonya in this story.
Lastly, I'm happy to say that the edits for the revised edition of "Jiving With a Royal" have been completed. The new book is now up on Amazon with a temporary cover. We will have new paperbacks and maybe even hardbacks by the summer.
I'll have some more news about tentative release dates next month.

December Updates
Dear Readers,
Happy December! What a busy month it's been. Apologies for a lack of any blog updates. Lately I've been erring toward updates my readers via my newsletter. How are all of you doing?
Just a few updates for you. If you haven't been following, I have a new book releasing on Tuesday, "The Rules of the Rink." It's been in the works for a long time, and I'm thrilled that I'll finally be able to share it with all of you. You can find it as a paperback and an ebook on Amazon.
In other updates, I am currently working on having "Jiving With a Royal" re-edited with some extended scenes and new content. I am planning to release a new edition of the book with a gorgeous new cover early next year.
Speaking of new projects, I'm also happy to share that I've just finished the first draft of my next novel! It's the happiest I've ever been with a first draft and I'm feeling that this book may be out a lot sooner than I'd planned. I've just sent it out to a beta reader today, so I'll have some news about it later this month.
Lastly, I just wanted to mention that "Pointe Shoes and Sugar Plums" and "The Mysterious Mr Marcellus" are both now widely available. They've left Kindle Unlimited.
I am not certain if Austen or Dinos will be leaving, but depending on how these two novellas do, I'll be making a decision on them in the new year.
Hopefully I'll be able to update again before Christmas.

Fall Updates
Dear Readers,
I hope you're doing well. Can you believe we are into fall?
I apologize for the lack of updates as of recently. I've started a new part-time job and it's been eating up so much of my time recently. Additionally, I've also started the next phase of my grad school journey. While it's incredibly exciting, it's also been stressful.
Have you ever felt like an imposter? Like you wonder if you're good enough to fit in? Or measure up to someone's expectations? It's easy to say..."oh, I won't compare myself to the other people in my cohort", but I think no matter what, we do it anyway.
The last few weeks, I've started to be able to work through m grad school imposter syndrome, there isn't really another method I could think of other than to just keep researching and moving forward.
I haven't had as much time to devote to my writing, but now that things are settling down, I finally feel like I can crank out another story.
Sorry for going so off topic. This is what happens when I just decide to hold a conversation on paper.
Here's what you came here for...to hear what my updates are...well, I'm pleased to say that
"The Rules of the Rink" has been complete for a while and is being proofread. I've set the release for December 12.
I'm also having "Dancing With a Royal" edited and the new cover being finalized. I'm really happy with how the revised story has turned out. It's going to tie in directly to "The Rules of the Rink."
As for my next book...I've started on a new story, but I'm not sure where it's going to lead. I'm going to take the next few weeks to decide if it'll end up being a novel or a novella.
Updates on this blog will likely come slower. I only have 1-2 hours a day I can devote to my author business and a lot of that means taking care of administrative duties or writing a couple hundred words in the manuscript. I'll do my best to update when I can, but if you want regular updates, subscribe to my newsletter. That'll have the most info, along with giveaways.
In the meantime, stay well.

Special Edition News
Dear Readers,
It's nearly the end of August. Fall is just around the corner. I'm so excited this means all things pumpkin and cooler weather will soon be heading our way!
I've been catching up with some side projects this past month and am in the processing of readjusting my end of the year release schedule.
Nothing has changed for "The Rules of the Rink." As it stands, this will still be released in the next few months. I'm awaiting the return of some edits.
Instead of the planned holiday novella, however, I've decided to release a special revised edition of "Dancing With a Royal." Initially, I was only planning to add a bonus chapter and expand a few scenes, but it's in the process of getting a full polish. I've completely ended up changing a large amount of the book.
With that being said, the heart of the story remains the same. It's just that I'm in a very different place than where I was 3 years ago and my writing and story telling skills now reflect that. I'm happy to help my characters grow and evolve too.
I may go through and give Amanda the same treatment in "Jiving With a Royal" but we'll see how it ends up going with Dancing. I have a lot of work ahead of me between now and December.
"Dancing With a Royal's" special edition will be available sometime before the end of the year.
For early 2024, I'll be working on crafting a novella or a second book to "The Rules of the Rink." Stay tuned.

A Game of Small Victories A Week Away
Dear Readers,
Happy Saturday! How are you doing this weekend so far?
Well, we're about a week away from the launch of "A Game of Small Victories." The eBook proof has been finished. The paperback uploaded and now we wait for August 8. This book means so much to me and I'm so excited that soon Grace will be able to warm her way into your heart.
In other news, "The Rules of the Rink" has been booked for edits. I should have it back sometime in September.
Up next, I'm beginning to play around with the idea of writing another novella loosely tied to the Unexpected Royals. It could very well end up turning into a full-length book, but we'll have to see how the first few chapters develop. If everything goes according to plan, this may drop as a special holiday release. I'm not committing to anything yet though.

What's Coming This Month
Dear Readers,
Happy July! I'm so sorry for the lack of normal blogging. I've entered the next phase of my PhD program and I've had to dedicate most of my free time to putting together my project prospectus. Academic writing is so much harder for me than book writing.
Here are some updates this month:
(1) I'm working on resizing the paperback trim size of the Unexpected Royals. There will be changing from 6x9 to 5x8. The content and covers will remain the same (for now), but there are some special projects in the works for the latter part of the year.
(2) I am getting ready to release "A Game of Small Victories." I will be releasing a paperback edition to the book after all. It's going to be about 115 pages give or take.
(3) The first round of feedback from my two beta readers was pretty solid. I'm currently in the process of writing the second draft of "Rules of the Rink." I hope to finish by the end of this month.
(4) I am participating in a giveaway with Authors XP. If you are interested in winning a copy of "Point Shoes and Sugar Plums", you can enter at authorsxp.com/giveaway.

Holiday Weekend
Dear Readers,
It's Friday! Hooray! We made it to the end of another week! I am so very happy that this weekend is going to be a long one too. It means I'll have some dedicated time to write : )
These past two weeks have flown by! Not only did I attend my first academic conference and present a paper, but I also finished the first draft of my next book, and have started outlining another novella.
I am due to receive the first round of beta feedback on Monday for my ice skating story. If all goes according to plan...I hope to start in on the second draft on Tuesday and hopefully have the new draft ready for early edits by the end of July.
In other news, I've decided to postpone the Regency novella I had planned in favor of a novella relating to the Unexpected Royals series. I've been thinking a lot about it recently and I thought it might be nice to have a special edition book called "Friends of the Unexpected Royals."
One other piece of news to share...if you are not already subscribed to my newsletter, please consider doing so. Next week, I am going to be releasing some bonus content featuring Olive. You will not want to miss out!

Release Week
Dear Readers,
I hope you are doing well this weekend. Just another short post this week. I'm heading out of town for a work conference. Next time I schedule a release, I'll be certain to make sure my work schedule is clear.
This week, "the Great Austen Adventure" eBook is on sale for only .99. If you've been on the fence about picking up a copy, now is a fantastic time to do so. The sale will run through 6/18.
"For the Love of Dinosaurs" will release tomorrow. I'm so excited for you to be able to read Lucas and Nora's story. It's going to be in KU, so if you don't feel like purchasing a copy, you can still read an enjoy it for free that way. Every page you read supports me.
Lastly, I have an update for you on my next full-length novel. I'm just about ready to finish writing the last chapter of the first draft! There are still a lot of changes and edits that will have to take place, but I'm comfortable giving a tentative release date for it of November.
I'm hoping while I'm traveling this week to have time to sit and begin a full read through and start the first round of self-edits.
Additionally, I'm also planning to start outlining a special holiday short story. I've had a few really fun ideas that will have us see the return of a few friends from "Designing for a Royal."
