Author Chloe S. Flanagan says a riveting story!

Interlaced Souls is a riveting story on several levels. On the surface level, it has a solid, pulse-pounding suspense narrative that sees Bonnie, the kind and brave heroine, and her precocious daughter ensnared in the plans of a dangerous stalker. On this same level is a sweet romance thread between Bonnie and Jon, the good-hearted yet scarred hero.

While these elements would make for a highly entertaining plot all on their own, what really makes Interlaced Souls a captivating read are its deeper emotional and spiritual aspects. Bonnie and Jon’s connection is profound and engaging, yet it doesn’t detract from the complex journey of growth and healing they each must take as individuals. Alongside all this, the characters are pulled into a spiritual quest that challenges and grows their faith. The result is both moving and inspiring.

I received an advance copy of this book but was not obliged to leave a positive review. All opinions are my own.

Bonnie Mathis, a compassionate, single mom, is too busy running a ranch and herself ragged to consider love. Between managing her empathic impulses, taking care of a special-needs child, and handling her ex, she’s got her plate full. Yet, when she senses a stranger’s heartache from across a crowded room, her soul reacts whether she planned for it or not.

After a tragic accident, Jon Minton is looking for a fresh start. When he throws a dart at a map, and it lands on the town of Purity, deep in the heart of Texas, he hops in his truck and leaves his life and career in the rearview mirror. His grief-torn spirit leaves him unable to sleep, second-guessing himself, and questioning his life. That is until he sees Bonnie for the first time.

Follow Bonnie and Jon as they collide, making waves so massive that it could cost them dearly. When their souls intertwine in dreams, will they discover the key to beating the odds in both their lives? Will Jon be able to save her from the crosshairs of an imbalanced stalker, who will stop at nothing to have her?

To other authors...

I just saw a review left for an author by another author ... and I needed to say something. I love supporting other authors. Only we know the hard work and dedication it takes to take a concept and bring it full circle to a book, releasing it into the world for a mass of armchair writers and readers. It blows me away when I see other authors leaving 1-star reviews for their fellow writers. While every book may not hit the mark, that book will still find a home with readers that appreciate it.

Authors, let's not drag other writers' books through the mud. If you can't say something supportive about it - don't leave a review at all. Choose kindness. These fresh writers and even the ones who have been at it a while will grow with each book.

I clicked through to look at this particular author, the one who left the harsh 1-star review and she had fewer books out than I would have expected. By the looks of her reviews, her work wasn't all that glowing and she had 'meh' covers. If this critical author wants to be a judge and jury, maybe she should start by looking at her own first. Just saying...

To those authors, who get that kindness is key. Kudos to you for focusing on honing your own craft each day. Kudos to you for mentoring other writers as that is what life is about - teaching those around us with better tools or skills. Kudos to you for remembering what our mothers have taught us.

'If you can't say something nice, don't say it at all. And if someone needs a bit of help, constructive criticism is okay as long as it's given with an encouraging heart.'

The Script

For 6 years, writing partner and film producer, John Schwab, and I have been finalizing details and edits for the conversion of Finding Kylie to script. Why has it taken so long?

Well, typically these things do take a while, however since he's in London and I'm in the states, we've worked around his and my schedule. Both have been hectic on a personal and professional level.

The stars have finally aligned to make the hard read happen so we can see if what we've done in 2D on paper, will come to life in 3D in the way we feel it will.

Stay tuned as I give updates on my blog or at my Facebook page.

Two new releases this summer

In late August, look for Coming Home & Saving Grace to release. These books will be the final storylines, which will wrap up the series, which started with Finding Kylie, then Facing Redemption.

Reviews to date say that these next two releases are the best yet. I'd love to hear from you if you've already read either Finding Kylie or Facing Redemption.
