In 2022, Wattpad invited her to join the inaugural Creators Program for authors with high engagement.

Her stories come with heroines who are smart and whimsical, as well as lush worlds rooted in southern Asia with its rich culture and folklore—largely unexplored in media.

Su has a deep interest in anime, gaming and science—from space/ocean exploration to quantum physics and realistic futurism. This is reflected in her work, which contain anime tropes, gamer characters and science communication.

Her novels also tackle themes such as veganism, climate change and sustainability, often celebrating the rich plant-based cuisines of Asia.

In terms of the social landscape and character dynamics in her work, Su shines a spotlight at the teen experience in Asian societies, which often come with draconian rules, shadow education and academic pressure. Her stories have a lot of heart, with deep friendships and wholesome romantic relationships that incorporate modern twists on fairytales. The romance subplots are slowburn, pure and swoonworthy—reminiscent of Kdramas and anime, which are celebrated by millions worldwide, including ace communities.

When she's not working, writing or drawing, Su can be found geeking out over anime, video games and hard sci-fi. All of the writing, editing, plotting, worldbuilding, art and animation for her novels are original work by the author. Su holds that passing off AI art, writing and concepts as one's own is unethical and that stories/art should be produced by one's own brain.
