I love book signings!
I have met the most interesting people at my signings. Not everyone I speak to decides to buy the book, but before I try to "sell" them on the book, I ask them what they like to read. I also encourage them to tell me something about themselves. Everyone has a story, something we can learn from. We just need to listen.
One person lives hundreds of miles away in MN, and quite by chance he happened to be at The Shops on West Ridge in Greece, NY on two separate occasions when I was holding book signings. He is a voracious reader, consuming 200,000 words from my first two books in two consecutive nights - and still going in to work on both days!
This weekend, I'm celebrating the third book of my trilogy with a book signing, my copies arrived today!
