I studied Norse mytho…moreI've always had a love for reading and writing and wanted to put together a different kind of YA book where the hero was unique. I studied Norse mythology for quite some time and opted to make a book where the main character was a descendant of Bragi, the god of poetry. I had never seen anything based upon him before and it was a perfect match for my love of poetry. I also took a lot of inspiration from growing up in a small town in Iowa which you can see throughout the series.(less)
