Raymond Vollmond creció en las montañas de un hermoso pueblo en Puerto Rico llamado Corozal. Mientras sus padres y hermanos (todos agricultores) labraban las tierras en donde vivían, Raymond se paseaba por ellas imaginando ser un mago batallando contra criaturas tenebrosas y seres oscuros. Ahora, reside en Florida, Estados Unidos y todas aquellas aventuras que vivió cuando niño lo ayudaron a crear el mundo en donde Catarina y sus amigos viven. Su primer libro Catarina Freytas y el Anillo Perdido es la punta del iceberg; solo una pequeña parte de todo un universo que se irá revelando poco a poco.
