How about a teaser?????

She was Little. She’d known that for a long time. Much longer than her stay at The Center. She’d known it for years. She’d kept that feeling to herself for several years before finding and joining a fetish club where she could finally be herself without worrying about being judged.
Now she was here. The promise of a forever Daddy had been part of the lure. The decision hadn’t been difficult. She’d basically divorced herself from her family a long time ago. She didn’t have close friends or relatives she cared to speak of.
She had this. She loved being Little. The opportunity to do so fulltime and live in her authentic skin had been something she could not pass up.
“That’s why I’m here,” she whispered in response, her lip trembling as she glanced from one caregiver to another. Were they kicking her out? Was she so unwanted that they didn’t see any hope for her?
Nurse Kay was sitting to her left and stroked her leg. “You’re here to tap into your inner Little and learn to live in that space fulltime. You’re here to find a caregiver, sweetie.”
Mindy slowly nodded. “Isn’t that what I said?”
Nurse Kay’s brow was slightly furrowed in concern. “Your caregiver doesn’t have to be a Daddy. Have you ever considered that?”
Mindy stared at her for a long time, processing, thinking, panicking. She could picture her mother glaring at her wide-eyed, disgust her only feature. The disappointment. The total lack of acceptance. The hostility. And then the abandonment. The humiliation. The betrayal.
It all came back to her now, making her shake. Tears came to her eyes. She squeezed them shut, but she couldn’t make the pain go away.
“Mindy?” The voice belonged to Dr. Farwell. “Little one… Are you okay? Talk to us. Tell us what you’re feeling. We’re all here to help you.”
She held her fists over her eyes. “I’m supposed to want a Daddy. That’s how it is.”

“I never see you misbehave. I assume discipline isn’t something you’re interested in when you’re in Little space?”
Mindy shook her head, keeping her face down. “No, Ma’am,” she managed to whisper. The truth was she didn’t even know how to misbehave. She watched other Littles do it all the time, but the concept was foreign to her. A lot of things were foreign to her.
“You know you don’t have to be naughty to get a spanking, right? If you’re interested in that kind of roleplaying, all you have to do is ask one of us to spank you, and we’d be happy to.” Tricia set a hand on Mindy’s and gave a gentle squeeze.
Mindy stared at the woman’s firm grip. Her nails were blunt but perfectly filed and painted a pretty shade of pink. Mindy guessed Tricia was in her late thirties. She had thick brown hair that hung in waves. She usually had it pulled back in a low ponytail.
“I like your polish,” Mindy whispered before she could stop herself.
“Yeah? I have it in my purse. If you’d like, I could paint your nails for you.”
Mindy lifted her gaze and met Tricia’s eyes. Pretty green eyes that seemed to smile all the time. She wore minimal makeup. Just mascara, light blush, subtle eye shadow, and lip gloss.
Mindy knew she was a Domme, but she wasn’t the sort who wore black leather, high heels, and a revealing bustier. She was usually always dressed in comfortable jeans and a stylish T-shirt. Today, her shirt was green. It made her eyes pop.
“What do you think, Mindy?”
Mindy flinched as she realized she hadn’t responded to Tricia’s suggestion. She found herself nodding. “I’d like that.”

After shaking up the polish, she lifted Mindy’s hand into her warm palm. “What pretty nails you have, Baby girl,” she commented.
“I don’t bite them,” Mindy announced. Mostly because that had been a rule her mother enforced by admonishing her every time Mindy lifted a hand toward her mouth for her entire childhood. Her mother had often swatted at Mindy’s hand. When Mindy had been very young, the swats had been to keep her from sucking her thumb. When she’d gotten older and begun to feel stressed, she’d gotten swatted for biting her nails.
To this day, keeping her hands away from her mouth was always a challenge.
Tricia gave her another smile. “Is that hard, Baby girl? To keep from biting your nails?”
Mindy swallowed. “Sometimes,” she muttered.
“Do you suck your thumb?” Tricia asked as she carefully applied the first stroke of nail polish.
Mindy shook her head vigorously.
Tricia furrowed her brow. “Is that challenging too?”
Mindy’s face heated, and she looked away.
“I’m sorry, Baby girl. I didn’t mean to embarrass you. There’s nothing unusual about Little girls sucking their thumbs. I’ve just never seen you do so. You don’t carry a pacifier either. Do you use one at home?”
Mindy pursed her lips and sat very still.
Tricia waited patiently for her to respond.
What could it hurt? Tricia didn’t seem judgmental. “Sometimes,” she whispered, her cheeks heating further.
“Why does that embarrass you, Baby girl?”
“It’s a terrible habit,” Mindy admitted, parroting her mother. She could hear the woman in her head. “I should learn to self-soothe without needing a crutch.”
Tricia’s brow furrowed again. “Who told you that?”
Mindy swallowed. “My mother,” she whispered even softer.
