DRAGON SWORD COMIC: EPISODE 5

After a couple of months working on this episode, it is finished and live! Every single image has been re-done in order to showcase the improvements seen in the first three episodes. Some parts like the so-called battle of the last dragon has been slightly increased to add more action to this episode. Apart from that, the number of pages is maintained to 137 full color pages in order to make it more affordable for the paperback edition. Nevertheless, the plot remains the same and now it is even more vivid and readable!

The English version (digital and paperback) of this episode is available exclusively on Amazon. It has been added to Kindle Unlimited, so it can be read for FREE with a KU subscription.

SINOPSIS:
En la mágica tierra de Velaria, los cuatro campeones han finalizado la antigua guerra que desolaba el mundo entre humanos y dragones, derrotando a Ariyon, comandante y último miembro del ejército de los dragones.
Se dice que los huérfanos provienen de la madre dragón, por lo que a todos estos se les apellida "Dragonborn" (nacidos del dragón), normalmente levantan suspicacias entre el pueblo llano ya que se creen que son una fuente de mala suerte en las comunidades. Ahora que la tierra contra los dragones ha terminado, se cree que todos los huérfanos han sido extinguidos también.
Sin embargo, un bebé huérfano aparece en una cesta flotando en un río el cual es recogido por uno de los cuatro campeones mientras regresaba a casa. Este decide criarlo y entrenarlo sin saber que el bebé posee un secreto que nadie conoce. Esta huérfana se llama Alena Dragonborn, y esta es su historia.

Aquí encontraréis 140 páginas a todo color de un mundo lleno de acción y aventuras basadas en la amistad y la superación de uno mismo, con el humor típico que encontráis en cómics manga.

As you may already know, starting from June 20th, Amazon will be raising the printing costs for most paperback editions, with larger books being the most affected.
This increase poses a greater challenge for us indie authors to receive our fair share from each sale.
We are grateful to Amazon for providing us indie authors with the opportunity to publish our stories and share them with the world. It's understandable that Amazon, being a business, is also looking out for its own interests, thus making the increase in printing prices inevitable.

I empathize with all the authors who have had to raise their minimum selling price. It will undoubtedly be tough for them.
In my case, I haven't been heavily impacted by the increased costs, as my paperback edition is a smaller 5x8" size. This has made it an easy decision for me NOT TO RAISE the price of my paperback editions. I want to ensure that my comic remains accessible to as many people as possible. I believe the current price of $12.99 per episode is reasonable for a 140-page book filled with full-color illustrations.

I think, now more than ever, it's the time to support the indie community so the can keep sharing their dreams in terms of awesome stories.

After many months of working on the re-doing of episode 3, the wait is finally over and it is available now!

The work on this episode has been immense. Every single image has been re-done in order to showcase the improvements seen in the first two episodes. Apart from that, the number of pages has been reduced (from +200 to 140) to make it more affordable for the paperback edition. But don't worry about the page reduction, the plot remains the same and now it is even more vivid and readable!

I want to share with you all the new cover of the remastered edition of Episode 3!

NEW Episode 3 cover reveal

As you can see from the previous cover, there are some new additions. I have included both goblins in the background of the cover and updated the clothes on Kira, the kid from the inn. I really hope you like the final result!

The remastering of this episode is done. I'm only in the process of reviewing for mistakes and typos, thus I hope I will be able to release it mid-May on Amazon, Google Play, and Apple Books. The remastering of this episode has been huge, with a complete overhaul of the layout while maintaining the same plot of the story. The original layout was too long and sometimes repetitive, so many pages had to be reduced to the 140-page standard that I'm using for the paperback edition. I hope you enjoy this new edition in the same way I enjoyed creating it!

I have refined the blurb of Episode 1, I really really hope you like it! It's as follows now:

In the magical land of Velaria, humans and dragons were locked in an ancient war until four champions emerged victorious by slaying Ariyon, the commander and last member of the dragon's army.

For orphans in this world, all are believed to be descended from the mother dragon and thus bore the surname "Dragonborn," a label that is believed to bring bad luck to their communities. It was rumored that all orphans were to be killed after the war.

Nevertheless, one baby survives, and it is discovered in a basket floating down a river after the final battle. One of the four champions takes her in and trains her, unaware that this orphan has a power nobody knows, and that could change the fate of Velaria forever. Her name is Alena of Dragonborn.

Join Alena on her journey as she struggles to understand and control her powers, faces prejudice and danger at every turn, and discovers the truth about her past and the future of her land. This is just the beginning of her story.

The remastered version of Episode 3 is currently at approximately 30%. The original third episode is more than 200 pages long, but for the sake of the economiy, I'm reducing it to the same pages of Episode 1 and 2, which are 150 pages.
This does not mean that the story or the plot is reduced, it means that you will find less repetitive images and a more dynamic story line. You will love it!

The script of Episodes 7, 8, and 9 are written! The story will continue further away from Episode 9!
