1 More Week

We have one more week until Finding You is released! I am so excited to launch this book baby into the world.

Declan is a broody fisherman and doting dog date who meets his sexy neighbor, Astrid. She's a sassy corporate lawyer who gives as good as she gets.

Their chemistry is off the charts hot and I can't wait for you to meet them both.

Are You Ready to Return to Havenport?

Today I finished my last edits on Finding You, book 2 in the Havenport Series. It is such a weird moment, to hand the book off to be proofread - I'm both relieved to be finished and anxious about what's next.

Finding You features Declan Quinn, Liam's older brother and Havenport's resident grumpy fisherman. Since Trusting You was published I have received so many messages about Declan. Everyone has been asking for his story.

This one is going to MELT your Kindle. Declan and Astrid have red hot chemistry and you will get to see all your favorite Havenport citizens.

Finding You will be released on June 24th and is available NOW for pre-order on Amazon.

Trusting You is Available NOW

I can't believe it! My debut novel, Trusting You, is now available on Amazon. You can read it for free in Kindle Unlimited.

This is surreal. I have dreamed of being an author since I was a young girl. For years, I was convinced it just wasn't possible for me. It took 38 years, but I did it.

Trusting You is a small town, slow burn set in a brewery. It is VERY steamy and has minimal angst.

Havenport is a charming coastal town in Massachusetts. It is steeped in history and filled with quirky townsfolk who love gossip. There also happy to be an inordinate amount of hot men there....

Take a trip to Havenport. I hope it brightens your day.

XOXO,
Daphne

Why I Write Romance

I have dreamed of being an author since I was a little girl and used to fill journals with character ideas and short stories.

I read my first romance novel at age 36. I don’t know why I was such a latecomer to romance, I had certainly been a book lover since childhood. I had read most genres, and loved YA and women’s fiction, but had never picked up a true romance.

That changed when I was up late at night nursing my newborn son, desperate for a way to stay awake. I read on my phone, and spent a lot of time searching for fun new books.

At the time, I was also dealing with postpartum depression. My depression robbed me of my attention span. I was unable to watch TV or movies, and totally incapable of concentrating on anything at all. I was trying to find something to do while I took care of my newborn, and I stumbled upon one contemporary romance on my kindle and the rest was history.

Romance was there for me during a particularly difficult period in my life. It brought me laughter and joy while I was suffering, and for that I will always be grateful. I was also lucky enough to discover what an inclusive and diverse place the romance community is. I started following my favorite authors and joined reader groups. I continue to be blown away but the kindness and enthusiasm of romance readers and writers. It is truly a beautiful community.

When I decided to take my writing hobby more seriously, I knew I wanted to write romance. I wanted to provide the joy and laughter that I had needed in a very dark period of my life.
I wanted to create worlds were readers could escape for just a short time.

Life is tough. And life in 2021 is really tough. If I can add some fun and steam to your day, I would love to!
