Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

However, the inspiration for the story,…moreI'm not a sci-fi writer- at least, not yet. Likewise, the novella I'm currently writing is far from the genre. However, the inspiration for the story, funnily enough, came to me while thinking about the film, The Matrix.
I pondered on how I would feel if I suddenly discovered that my reality was not *the true reality*. I decided that I could probably accept, with time, that the trees were fake, and the buildings, and boring job, and even some distant friends.
However, how could I come to terms with the fact that the love for my wife or my children was 'part of the simulation'. I imagined what lengths I would go to in order to make that love 'real' again.
Couple that conundrum with my interest in metaphysics, lucid dreaming, and fantasy worlds; and wuala, Lost In The Waking Well was concieved.(less)
