Nate Evans I actually wrote this book during a unit called "Writing Realistic Fiction" in my literacy classroom. I had given my students an assignment to create …moreI actually wrote this book during a unit called "Writing Realistic Fiction" in my literacy classroom. I had given my students an assignment to create a realistic story, and during this unit, I wrote along with them. I shared my characters and details with them, and they provided me with feedback just as I was giving them feedback on their stories. A couple of characters in the story are named after students in one of those classes (first names only, of course).(less)
