Thank you to everyone who participated in the free e-book promotion! To God be the glory, the Darkness Overcome series has over 400 new readers, and I hope those who got The Rhise of Light e-book continues their journey with Leon as the series continues. The #Rhisen community has certainly earned a few updates, so here we go:
Book Three (The Rhise of Truth) is going through it's edits, and can be expected to release Fall of 2022! That's right, within the next couple months the trilogy will be complete! If you want to help generate hype for it, there are several things you can do. You can review the first two books, share posts, like and follow the FB and Amazon pages, or even submit fanart for the series at maxbsternberg.com!
Another update is what will happen AFTER book three releases. When The Rhise of Truth comes out, I'll be going back to book one and start the process of bringing all three books to life as audiobooks! More is to come on that later, but for those of you who enjoy audiobooks, you can expect 2023 to have some exiting releases!
Lastly, I would like to thank a few people and organizations for this successful promotion. My wife Crystal is an incredible woman, and this series would not be what it is without her support. Clean Fiction Magazine is also a wonderful resource that helped get the Darkness Overcome series off the ground. March Update
It's been a hectic month but some cool things happened:
Homeschool Book Review Blog rated The Rhise of Light 5 stars! Woohoo! They have reviewed a ton of books across all genres and ages, so it was nice to see such positive words (especially during a time when I've had some writers woes lately). The link is below.

The Rhise of Truth hit the 50% mark as some of you saw! I'm hoping that I can finish the first draft by June, but my work is about to get busier so here's hoping I can find the time.
It has been reiterated to me after posting a few memes on FB and Mewe to NOT KILL THE DOG! Insert maniacal laughter here. My good friend and author C S Wachter (Check out her books!) originally emphasized the importance of Kelleren, and my writers group has happily picked up the chant. Don't worry, I promise not to, as long as everybody knows the other characters are fair game! Muahaha!

CLEAN FICTION MAGAZINE'S SPRING FAN ART CONTEST!!!
To all my artist friends out there! Clean Fiction Magazine is running a FAN ART CONTEST for it's next issue! Submissions will begin January 16th and end January 31st. Voting will begin February 1st and go through February 12th.
I'm also posting fan art of the Darkness Overcome series to the series site at http://maxbsternberg.com/! You can submit your art there while you submit it to the magazine! Let your talent shine!

We ask that you stick to Clean BOOK Fan Art, but there is no particular art style you must adhere to. Do you draw anime? Great! Draw a character from your favorite anime. Do you prefer westerns? Wonderful! Desert paintings are great. Are you a character artist by trade? You can participate too! Whether you are drawing at your kitchen table or in a studio, your art is welcome. Submissions will begin January 16th and go through January 31st. Voting will begin February 1st and run through February 12th (See our website for the small print). If you win, you will receive a $25 Amazon Gift Card to use on buying books or paints or more art supplies...whatever you want really.
