I am late to just about every trend. But hey, it’s still July, so I figure I'm still in time for the 'mid-year check-in'!

So far this year, The Pillars of the Sky has passed the 300K words mark… but it still isn’t finished. It’s getting closer though, I promise. And I truly appreciate your patience while I wrangle this beast into shape.

The good news? I already has a cover, and it’s a stunner thanks to the amazing Felix Ortiz. I can’t wait to show you in the coming months.

Once the draft is done, it’ll go to my Alpha readers, then I will work on rewrite before handing it to my Beta readers, and then finally to my editor. I’ll also start building the ARC team for launch prep.

When 2025 began, I hoped to publish this year. That’s looking unlikely now, but I’m aiming for a Q1 2026 release. And the good part? Books 2.5 and 3 will come a lot faster.

I can't wait for you to explore Caithane, meet the Knights of Cythis, and ride across the plains of Kia Norma with the Horse Clans.

For those of you interest, The Pillars of the Sky, Book 2 of The Eye of Eternity, is coming!

I'm still writing as I post this but the manuscript is nearing completion. The last two years have been more difficult than anticipated with job loss and the loss of a parent, but book 2 is coming. I promise.

It's going to be a whopper, I am currently sitting at 300K words and I still have two characters arcs to write - the word count will reduce in size in edits but the book will still be longer than The Blood of the Spear.

I've received the cover art from Felix Ortiz, and will be getting the cover design done soon. The blurb is incoming also.

If you're here reading this, thank you for your patience. Hopefully you are looking forward to picking up book 2. I'll get it to you as soon as I can!

A little update for all you wonderful readers waiting on Book 2 of The Eye of Eternity.

I've just hit 75K on this mammoth (not mammoth yet but as this is mostly 1 character arc 👀)

Although the process has been slow, I can't wait for you all to see where this world is going ⚔️
