Katy Sloop Roberts grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia, she and has a degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Katy has enjoyed writing since her grandparents gave her a lined journal for Christmas at age seven. “Mario and The Stones” is her first book. As an Air Force spouse, Katy has lived in many U.S. states, Germany and Italy. Currently, she lives in northeastern Italy at the foot of the Dolomite Mountains with her husband, two sons, and a black cat named Lucky.
