I recently re-read the Philip Yancey book, Prayer. The insights and ideas outlined by Yancey were fresh to me. Prayer is not simply thanking God and offering requests, it’s a conversation. Prayer is as much for me as it is for Him.

We are made to be in communion with Him which requires conversation and interaction. I find that when I draw close to God and lay out my heart in this type of conversation, He gently speaks to my spirit. He calms me and blankets me in His peace, which are incredible gifts.

Commune with God. Pray to Him and let His peace wash over you.
