Ron Enfield grew up in Southern California in the Fifties, earned a scholarship to attend the University of California, and graduated from UCLA in 1966 with a Bachelor's degree. After graduation, he worked as a computer programmer at the world's first software house, moving on to related positions in the tech industry. Ron earned an MS in Computer Science in evening classes, and spent more than 30 years in technical publishing at Bell Labs, MITRE, Oracle, and others. In 2012 he retired to become a full time caregiver for his wife Diane, who had Alzheimer's dementia. He has previously published articles about software engineering and technical writing. ...more
