Hiding in Plain Sight: My Life and Adventures Protecting Celebrities by Thomas LeBrun follows the author’s journey as he pursues his childhood dream of becoming Superman. Readers encounter a real person who grew up playing Superman games and collecting Superman comics, with the desire to be like Superman one day. Young LeBrun’s bravery will eventually lead him to make a mistake that lands him in the hospital. He builds himself and his confidence by reading works of writers like Tony Robbins and books by business self-starter gurus Brian Tracy and Zig Ziglar. He shares his experiences of training every day, lifting weights and wrestling, to meeting people who played a part in his personal and professional growth. This book is the story of how he became an Advance Man, offering security to top celebrities and important personalities across the globe, fulfilling a dream he has had since childhood.

Hiding in Plain Sight is filled with adventure and, at times, it reads like fiction. The author’s journey takes readers to dangerous places, like the Whitney Houston Concert for a New South Africa Tour, where over 500 firearms were detected and seized from persons seeking to enter the concert grounds. The book captures the imminent danger and the pulsating action to protect the celebrity. Readers follow this author as he serves as an Advance man to people like Tony Robbins, Bill Gates, and many others. Thomas LeBrun’s story is one of courage and a young man’s persistence in following his dream, a story that shows readers how the quality and kind of exposure we have as kids can be the stuff on which we build the heroes of tomorrow. It is well-written, entertaining, and utterly inspiring. It is sprinkled with lessons on personal growth and pursuing dreams.
