My paternal grandmother was an alcoholic who would frequently pass out in her armchair, and it apparently took several hours before anyone realized that she had died instead. Even better, there's an accompanying rumor that has one of her sons (my uncle) admitting that he had helped her along by smothering her with a pillow.

On the macro-level? Existential Dread. Asking myself if the whole process of self-publishing is a doomed endeavor, if mine is but a lone voice, crying out in the wilderness. WAH!(less)
