Coming from a family of avid readers, Verena Key started writing because of the way certain places made her feel - as if they were a backdrop for stories that somebody needed to tell. She lives and works in German countryside, surrounded by nature, and that is where her inspiration comes from. The characters in her stories are ordinary people and far from perfect, but, as any of us, they too fight for their right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. None of them is a vampire. Yet.

Advent Time and Wonderful Christmas

It is Advent time in Germany when people rejoice in anticipation of Christmas. Streets and houses are decorated with lights, Christmas trees, and various other decorations.
