In this case, some moments of our life are more fruitful than others and this is completely natural. Don't let productivity convince you that you're not worthy enough. Feel through these emotions and let them reveal to you what you need to understand.(less)

Ilyssa Goldsmith and 371 other people liked Debra 's review of Victorian Psycho:
Victorian Psycho by Virginia Feito
"Holy Hell in a Handbasket, what did I just read?????? Winifred Notty puts the psycho in Victorian Psycho! Seriously, this book is off the hook and brimming with deviousness, gore, and blood! Not for the faint of heart, this book delivers on humor, go" Read more of this review »
Ilyssa Goldsmith and 571 other people liked Rebecca's review of Victorian Psycho:
Victorian Psycho by Virginia Feito
" ‘I fail to understand why men think violence will intimidate women. Women, who bleed all over themselves every month. Women who burst open in childbirth.’

Virginia Feito has taken the tried and true “governess in a creepy manor” setup and gleefull" Read more of this review »
Victorian Psycho by Virginia Feito
"Absolutely unhinged. :D

It doesn’t provide all the answers, but nor do I feel I need them. The writing is fantastic, with an evocative setting, intelligent language, and blood dark humor. A story crammed full of uncomfortable moments and vivid imagery" Read more of this review »

Visually and lyrically captivating and equally satirical. There’s certainly a distinct musicality and ease in which the author strings together and designs her language for this novel. The only disappointing parts were the ones I knew I was being led ...more

Sylvia Plath
“There must be quite a few things a hot bath won’t cure, but I don’t know many of them. Whenever I’m sad I’m going to die, or so nervous I can’t sleep, or in love with somebody I won’t be seeing for a week, I slump down just so far and then I say: 'I’ll go take a hot bath.'

I meditate in the bath. The water needs to be very hot, so hot you can barely stand putting your foot in it. Then you lower yourself, inch by inch, till the water’s up to your neck.

I remember the ceiling over every bathtub I’ve stretched out in. I remember the texture of the ceilings and the cracks and the colors and the damp spots and the light fixtures. I remember the tubs, too: the antique griffin-legged tubs, and the modern coffin-shaped tubs, and the fancy pink marble tubs overlooking indoor lily ponds, and I remember the shapes and sizes of the water taps and the different sorts of soap holders.

I never feel so much myself as when I’m in a hot bath.”
Sylvia Plath, The Bell Jar
