Christian Gagnon grew up in New Brunswick on the east coast of Canada, and studied creative writing and film at the University of New Brunswick. He then worked in film & television, became a blacksmith, then went to college to become a chef (which all seemed quite sensible at the time). Finding the willpower to stick to a schedule or allotment of words per session is difficult, but it produces results. Unlike inspiration, which in my experience is powerful, but brief—sometimes blindsiding me at 2am on a Tuesday, forcing me out of bed and to my keyboard or a notepad to get down a fleeting idea.

Inspiration doesn't write books, but it can make them great.(less)
