Captain's Log. Star Date the 5th of October, in the year 2021.
I'm so close to being complete the first draft of Twin Flames (Book 3) that something had to happen to halt my progress.... this time, it's in the form of two boys with colds. Even though they are just boys, they have inherited the ability to make the common cold seem like they're dyeing. Typical "man cold".
This author/mom needs to go to a hunting cabin for a week, with no distractions to get the last 2 chapters written and all editing finished.
Ahh well, it's life and they're only small for so long right? That is how it works right? lol

Captain's Log
Star Date the 1st of October in the year 2021.
Today began like any other, however it is now the best month of the year! The month where everything strange, supernatural, weird and creepy are expressed by everyone, not just the weirdo's like me. Lol
It also marks the second month of me being a published author and I have to say that I am in absolute AWE of all the readers picking up my books. So thank you.
Today on my kids drive me absolutely bonkers.... apparently I'm a horrible mom for putting pear halves in lunches because they are too big and make their mouths cold. (Okay, maybe they didn't call me a horrible mom but they implied it by going on a 30 minute tangent explaining exactly why they didn't like it) When I asked why they didn't just use the fork I provided to slice it in half, they looked at me like I grew 2 heads. Common sense boys.
Anyway. I need to get back to the writing cave to finish up book 3!! I can't wait to share this story with you. I have a feeling it's going to be the best one yet!!! Chow for now.

Captains Log - Star Date the 19th day of September in the year 2021.
Today began like any other, I woke, up, poured my cup of nectar of the gods (coffee) and thought to myself "I'm going to sit down and write for a bit". I sit down at the computer because my cat is an asshole who decided that my laptop should not be on the desk and should in fact be on the floor and broken. Anyway I'm getting off topic, so here I am sitting at the computer and can't write shit! I work on my newsletter, I add to my website, check my e-mail a few dozen times, work on the promo video I'm making. Everything but writing. I need to give myself a mental kick in the ass and get back to writing.
On today's episode of my kids driving me insane, my 8 year old asks for rice with parmesan cheese. Again, as is usual with me, I say "One minute sugar." and apparently my literal one minute is too long for him because when I get up to go make him food he says he doesn't want it anymore and go to walk away, "No, no mom I didn't mean that" and I continue making him food. As I finish and am walking toward him with his bowl, he says "You know what mom, I'm going to go get my headphones, I don't think you deserve to listen to these videos" WHAT?? HAHAHAHAHA
Apparently I don't deserve to watch his youtube Minecraft videos lol like that bothers me.

Star Date the 16th of September, 2021
So you know how I said I was taking a break before writing book 3??? Well.... I lied. lol.
Book 3 is half written and I must say that Darren and Sophia's story is turning out even better than I hoped. It is shaping up nicely.
Today's episode of my kids driving me crazy.... my 8 year old wants me to play Minecraft with him... I say "One minute sugar, I have to finish this up" he throws himself on the couch "FINE!! I'm never going to play Minecraft again!" Okay then... guess that frees up more time for me to write!

Captain's Log.
Today I finished writing book 2 in my Westwood Pack Series and I have to say the story took me in a completely different direction than originally planned. The characters just seemed to take on a life of their own and were being stubborn not wanting to take direction. But that's how it usually works.
Book 1 has now been released for 3 days and I have to say the response and feedback I'm getting is amazing!!! Can't wait to see what a month brings.
Today's episode of my kids driving me crazy is that my youngest couldn't seem to find anything I asked him to. I'd say can you go get me this please, he'd leave and come back 2 minutes later "I couldn't find it", of course when I go look it's exactly where it is.
This happened a dozen times today!!!
Taking a week or 2 off for editing book 2 and on to book 3!!!

Captain's Log - Star date, the 23rd of August, 2021.
I was in my office, trying to write my second novel when the little monsters decided today was a day for the pool. They insisted and insisted calling my name and driving me crazy until it was impossible to do any work.
Does this make me a softie? Giving into them when they bug and bug me?
Peeshaw, it doesn't matter. If it stops them from driving me insane I will.
Today is a write off but tomorrow shows a chance of rain. Perhaps tomorrow will be a more productive day.... until then... tomorrow...
