I was born in Romania and lived there until 2006, when I moved to Australia.
I am a bookkeeper and a Yoga teacher, and writing is my passion.

For more than 40 years, I've been writing memoirs, stories, and novels for myself, and I've become an ardent collector of my own manuscripts.

I've always wanted to share my stories, which carry a seed of reality inspired by the struggles of day-to-day life, and the trials and dreams that come with them.

I live in Perth, Western Australia, with an extremely tall husband and Sammie, our cute mutt.

How do you deal with writer’s block?

I am a day dreamer, or as we call it 'dream with open eyes'.
Usually the past is the best source of inspiration. I dwell into a past experience which was either painful or really happy, I look for old photos and letters. I keep mulling over that particular experience and in my head I try to change its outcome or events.
Long walks with my dog are another way of stopping the frustration of a block. I talk to my dog and while doing so, inspiration comes. I know few good stories that popped into my head in my walks.
Lots of reading. Sometimes a sentence or a character in a story makes a click in my head.
Free writing. Any idea of a plot, a sequence, sometimes a random dialogue between 2 people. It starts in my head I start writing it and I keep writing.
I have a board pinned with lots of such cards.
When I feel I have enough material, I sit and commit not to move away from the laptop at least until I obtained a rough draft. Then next time I commit to a revision.
I also believe that is important to admit the block, acknowledge it and let it go. Nothing you can do about. (that is the Yoga teacher in me that talks.:)(less)

Yes, it may sound like hiding behind the pen and copybook, but there is a sense of relief, a feeling of lightness and easiness that one can feel once the words are put on paper.
It makes me happy.(less)
