Michael is a computer geek/band geek hybrid from Generation X, raised in the quaint Danish village of Solvang, California.

Venturing to San Diego, and later to the Pacific Northwest before returning to his hometown, he has enjoyed a fruitful career in the computer and tech support industries for nearly 25 years.

Outside the cubicle, he can be found recording music in his home studio, brewing ale & mead, hosting board game parties, as well as playing plenty of video games with powerfully moving soundtracks.

Always one to enjoy spinning a witless yarn, he's at last fulfilled his desires to tell of the exploits of madness and tomfoolery he's observed over the years.

One is a collaboration with another writer — a work of fiction that may very well end up being the first entry in a trilogy. It's very much inspired by stories of fantasy, adventure, and role playing games involving magic, exploration, and the testing of fortitude.

The other is a poetry collection that's been nurtured over the last couple years, and in retrospect appears to have been subconsciously inspired by the styles of two childhood favorites: Shel Silverstein and Dr. Seuss. Most entries possess a playful level of snideness or absurdity revolving around tasteful, yet mature grown-up themes. (No sexual subject matter or profane language.) I aim to invoke deep thought with grins on readers' faces.(less)

Michael Anthony White "Essential Information After High School Graduation" is my latest release, and was inspired by observations made during critical events in my own life…more"Essential Information After High School Graduation" is my latest release, and was inspired by observations made during critical events in my own life and of those around me over the last twenty-five years.

Throughout the course of my public schooling, I was very lucky to have had several teachers that went out of their way to encourage individual reflection and thinking outside the box. Most of them regularly went above and beyond just the words on the page after scheduled lessons had come to an end.

Nevertheless, individual teachers don't have the authority to select or regulate public school curriculum, or even the very teaching methods used.

Shortly after high school graduation day, it was made very clear that my classmates and I had not been prepared nearly enough to confront life's inevitable challenges with much confidence.

Many of us floundered.

That was 1997.

It appears things haven't become any easier for generations that have followed, despite the technological advances.

Society. Culture. Personal Finance. The Economy. Health & Nutrition. The psychological repercussions of Social Media. The truth about Politics. The plight of Equality. The seemingly vast inability of the average American to learn from even our own country's history...

Those who attended college weren't guaranteed to have acquired answers to the above dilemmas either, but had absolutely acquired exorbitant debt.

Excessive tribulations were experienced by many for several years — even decades — after high school graduation, and quite unnecessarily.

As time went on and I grew to identify the underlying elements that granted consistent success and peace of mind, I realized that with just a few simple perspectives, my classmates and I could have been given an imperative edge to improve our chances for early success in life to an exponential degree.

My latest book was written for alumni of all ages, and contains exactly that which I wish had been revealed to me decades ago, in a nice little package of 45,000 words.(less)
