BJ Pickard is a veteran athletics administrator and executive in the sports industry. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (B.A.) and the University of Washington (M.Ed.), his career has included stops with the Philadelphia 76ers, Arena Football League (AFL), and Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC). In 2018, Pickard was recognized by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) as the recipient of the Best in Nation award for Event Coverage at the record-setting Saint John’s University versus University of St. Thomas college football game at Target Field in St. Paul, Minnesota.

I'd also like to catch up on a couple of books in the pro wrestling genre, specifically "The Eighth Wonder of the World: The True Story of André the Giant" by Bertrand Hébert and Pat Laprade, and "Young Bucks: Killing the Business from Backyards to the Big Leagues" by Matt and Nick Jackson. Two other books that I'd like to read in the near future have some local flavor to my hometown of Eau Claire, Wis.: "Gus Dorais: Gridiron Innovator, All-American and Hall of Fame Coach" by Joe Niese (whose brother, Andy, was my high school baseball coach) and "A Summer Up North: Henry Aaron and the Legend of Eau Claire Baseball" by Jerry Poling.(less)
