If you told me I’d marry the grumpy loner next door to protect us both from legal troubles, I’d say you were crazy.
But I couldn’t refuse. Not after he swooped in to save me like some knight in heather gray sweatpants when the movers tried to end me.
That’s okay, because it’s temporary. Why he thinks this is the solution to our problems is beyond me.
It’s a terrible idea.

But I’m a woman on a mission. One that doesn’t include being sidelined by Liam Murphy—a moral question mark with a body count… in both senses of the word.
There’s real work to do, and I can’t afford any more distractions.
Since apparently my past was more explosive than I knew, my present is crumbling under the weight of corporate greed, and my future is under siege.
If I can survive the attacks, perhaps I’ll find the sanctuary I’ve always craved.

I wish I could say there are moments in life I’ll never forget. Times like meeting the love of my life, marrying him, or finding the ultimate career success.
But all of those things are locked away in shadowed corners of my mind where trauma has blocked the light from shining.
I’m an amnesiac who can’t figure out how I crafted this life, who I can trust, and, frankly, if I’m even safe in my own home.
My husband is gorgeous, stupid rich, and … dangerous. I don’t know if he’s the reason I “fell.” Big quotes there since no one knows how I ended up over that cliff face. There are also glimmers telling me he’s dark, perhaps even sinister.
