Dr. Mitzi Scotten is a pediatrician, medical educator and above all a lover of dinosaurs.
Mark of the Pteranodon is her first work of fiction and she plans to make it a trilogy
In addition to dinosaurs, the author loves animals and used her own pets as muses for the novel.
Living with ADHD, she used Mark of the Pteranodon to introduce the world to an epic hero who suffers from hyperactivity and inability to stay focused. She hopes it will inspire everyone who has always struggled to complete tasks.
The author's favorite place on earth is Maui and Mark of the Pteranodon pays homage to the rich history and cultural stories of the ancient Hawaiians.

Great news and validation for Mark of the Pteranodon
It received Honorable Mention Honors at the Hollywood Book Festival in general fiction.
When I went to editors to pitch my book they scoffed at the notion a book could be successful in more than one reading audience

Percy is a fun guy and I love the Greek mythology but book two already is starting to get a little formula-like for me- as in I can pretty much tell what is going to happen next and that there will be a big hook or twist at the end.
