The journey that led to my eventual success as a business owner in Panama was a radical spiritual-psychedelic-travel-experiment of sorts. Eager to discover more of the world and myself, my sense of adventure led me away from a formative education to the Alaskan wilderness when I was nineteen years old. At twenty, I found myself in Mexico, and I spent my twenty-first birthday (on magic mushrooms) in Guatemala. I traveled by the seat of my pants sometimes with no money what-so-ever for five years. Following my heart eventually led me to a career as a massage therapist on Kodiak Island, and years later, to owning a hotel, restaurant, and wellness facility in the Republic of Panama where I currently reside with my husband.
