J. M. (Jenny) Briscoe is the author of soft sci-fi trilogy, TAKE HER BACK. The first book in the series, THE GIRL WITH THE GREEN EYES, was long-listed for The Bridport Prize: Peggy Chapman-Andrews First Novel Award in 2020, reaching the top 20 of more than 1600 entries. It was published in 2021 by BAD PRESS iNK to great digital acclaim and has since reached the top-ten of an Amazon bestseller list.

Book two in the series, THE CHILD LEFT IN THE DARK, was published in autumn 2022. Book three, THE VOICE THAT TWISTS THE KNIFE, was published in spring 2024.

J. M. Briscoe has also written an unpublished YA novel, THE THING ABOUT AMELIA, which was long-listed for the 2016 Mslexia Children's Novel Competition.
