Catherine lives on the west coast of Canada with her family. At university, she studied Economics, took many courses in Asian Studies and the sciences, and her wide-ranging interests are reflected in her writing. Although Resurrection: Recalled to Life is her first published novel, she began writing as a teenager, experimenting with fantasy, science fiction, and contemporary genres.

C.A. Ward To be honest, I'm not sure that I would want to travel to any fictional world. At least not in any of my favourite books. Maybe Discworld? For the mos…moreTo be honest, I'm not sure that I would want to travel to any fictional world. At least not in any of my favourite books. Maybe Discworld? For the most part, though, although they make for interesting reading, they would be at least uncomfortable to live in, if not downright scary. The England of Dickens, for example, would be difficult to live in as a woman unless your sole ambition was to get married. It would have been hard to open a bank account without the help of a man, for example. Even getting a job would have been challenging unless it was just unskilled or semiskilled labour. In other fictional worlds I would have to contend with war, civil unrest, disease, or horrifying monsters. I think I'll just stay home and read about them!(less)

Not the kind where I have to focus heavily on the workout itself; but instead, walking, running, or the elliptical, where I can let my mind drift off. I usually take a note pad to the gym, and jot down notes when I become inspired. Sometimes, I just skip the difficult section and move on to a part that flows more easily, then come back to the problem when I have more ideas.(less)
