Mark your calendars—again!

THE WALL comes out in just over one week!!! I’m hosting a virtual launch party on my debut day, February 1st, at 7PM EST.

Join me via Zoom for an interactive reading (I just made that up, maybe), Q&A, and drinks (if you’re into that).

What’s an interactive reading? Good question! I’ll invite participants to choose a word—any word. I’ll search for the word in my book and read aloud a line/passage in which it appears (but nothing too spoiler-y, I promise). Then, I’ll open up the floor for an informal Q&A. I will be drinking a cocktail, and I welcome anyone else who’s so inclined to pour themselves a drink as well.

What shoud you prepare?

Nothing! Want to suggest words? Brainstorm in advance or pick them on the spot—your choice. The same goes for questions. However, I will ask participants to type their questions in the chat for accessibility purposes (asking aloud is optional).

I love October. I love crisp fall days and sweater weather, and I love Halloween (and pumpkin-shaped Reese’s!).

This October has been particularly special. At the beginning of the month, I started my dream job as an associate editor at Marvel Comics! Then, I launched this website and announced my upcoming debut novel, THE WALL.

Life has been pretty much nonstop for me with all of this going on. When I’m not working, I’m writing newsletters and blog posts, keeping up my social media presence, contacting book bloggers and reviewers, and coordinating with my book designer. I’m also working with some wonderful illustrators to put together digital perks for my preorder campaign, which will be starting next month. I’m so excited for all of you to see what we’ve put together!

Am I sleeping? No! Who needs sleep?! But don’t worry, I plan to spend this weekend relaxing. I’m looking forward to eating copious amounts of candy, cuddling up on the couch with my cats, and watching scary movies — in costume, of course.

It’s been a wonderful, wild month. I’m always a little bit sad when October ends, but I can’t wait to see what November has in store. Stay tuned…
