K.E. Davenport grew up in Miami and Dallas and studied film, storytelling, and animation at NYU and the University of Texas.

K.E. spends most of her time with her husband, growing humans, and full-sized pets. When she is not daydreaming, writing, or editing, she is asleep or possibly having fun outdoors with the previously mentioned husband, growing humans, and pets. The Moon Travelers Trilogy is her debut series.

How do you get inspired to write?

Many times I have forced…moreAt night when I'm falling asleep, my brain often goes into high gear and starts feeding me some pretty out there story ideas. Many times I have forced myself to get up in the middle of the night to write so that I don't lose the ideas that are coming to me. Some of my favorite parts of The Moon Travelers came from these late night "brain storms."

As far as getting inspired to write during the day, it's coffee. Coffee is what inspires me. But also reading other good books. I get excited when I see an author using a different style than I'm used to, or turning a phrase really well. I recently read House of the Spirits by Isabel Allende and really loved her writing.(less)
