I’m excited to announce that my book received national recognition through the Independent Press Award!

The Independent Press Award recognized Bluebird At My Window in the category of New Fiction (First Time Published) as a Distinguished Favorite.

A little more about the award: The competition is judged by experts from different aspects of the book industry, including publishers, writers, editors, book cover designers and professional copywriters. Selected IPA Award Winners and Distinguished Favorites are based on overall excellence.

In 2022, the INDEPENDENT PRESS AWARD had entries worldwide. Authors and publishers from countries such as Australia, Canada, Germany, Ireland, Jordan, Puerto Rico, Switzerland participated.

Books submitted included writers based in cities such as Anchorage to Memphis; from Berkeley to Philadelphia; Calgary to Sydney; from Albuquerque to New York City; from Princeton to Santa Monica as well as others.

I got so caught up in Bluebird’s pub day that I forgot to write this.

Bluebird At My Window is now available worldwide! You should be able to request it at local bookstores and libraries, as well as major distributors such as Amazon, Barnes and Nobel, Waterstones, etc.

On Amazon, Bluebird is available in paperback, hardback, and on Kindle Unlimited. All other suppliers will only have it available as paperback.

The ARCs for Bluebird At My Window have been out in the world since early November and I have to say I have been absolutely overwhelmed in the best way with how it’s been received. When the concept of what Bluebird would become finally took root, I wasn’t sure if anyone would fall in love with it like I had.

I knew from the beginning that it was the type of book that wouldn’t do well traditionally, I even had trouble figuring out what genre it fit into.

Though, as one of my beta readers mentioned, ‘If there was a genre for life… this book would fit perfectly within it.’

That’s what I hope anyone takes from this book. That we all have things we deal with, both large and small, but it's up to us to either lose ourselves within them or find our own way out.

I also wanted to say how incredibly thankful I am for everyone who has given my little indie book a chance.
