Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!

I injured my knee in October, and being unable to do more than barely limp around reminded me of everything I take for granted–walking without pain, exercising, and even being able to bend down and pull on a sock or tie my shoe.

I think we need those reminders, no matter how uncomfortable, to be grateful for the small, seemingly mundane things.

God be thanked for the many blessings He graciously bestows to us.

The End of a Series

It officially started on May 22, 2022, but behind the scenes? That began earlier.

It began with an idea, as all books do. A Pinterest pin about Little Red Riding Hood investigating the true story behind each fairy tale. That pin sparked something. A vague concept that kept percolating and growing until, finally, I put down the first ideas for what would eventually become IRON.

None of those ideas were incorporated into the final book. Chamonix had a different name, there was magic involved...

Worst Author Practices, Part One

Welcome to Worst Author Practices, alternatively titled, How to Burn Bridges in the Author Community in Three Easy Steps. Bridges are easily burned, without any hope of reconstruction, in the writing and author community, and there are consequences if you set yourself up as an author with an unpleasant reputation. While there are several helpful author practices authors should practice, there are some you want to stay away from if you don’t want to alienate yourself in the author community.

What’s on the 2025 TBR + Seeking Recs

It is so difficult to comprehend that there are only two months left in 2025. Where did the time go? What’s also difficult is finding more books to read this year so I can, for the first time, reach my Goodreads goal (I missed it by one book last year. Granted, I was super sick at the end of 2024 and couldn’t read, but still.)

Here are a few books still on my TBR, and I’d love your recommendations as well. (And, if you’re looking for some sales/potential freebies, check out these events here....
