Iain Stewart was born and raised in East Africa. Time spent at Kenton College in Nairobi, Fettes College in Edinburgh, and Christ's College, Cambridge was usually enjoyable and often educational. His qualifications as an author of this tale include a childhood fascination with The Romance of King Arthur, and obtaining his pilot's license at seventeen. Armed with these, he ventured forth to fly Tiger Moth biplanes and pretended to be Biggles. Who was basically Lancelot in goggles. However, earning a crust at HSBC for over twenty years delayed this book. Nowadays, he staves off reality by living in Miami.

not his best-unless you are really into artificial intelligence I always enjoy his books, and this was no exception, but it went too deep down the rabbit hole of artificial intelligence for my liking

puzzling I enjoyed reading this but have no idea what it is. A puzzle? A muse? Not a novel as such. The author has an interesting voice, it is beautifully written but it feels like an amuse bouch rather than an entree

best of the series so far I am reading the series sequentially and enjoyed most of them but this is the most enjoyable yet. The dual plot is complex but carried off beautifully. Outstanding writing. Outstanding book.

the usual format, which I like. But this one is not his best. Its not bad and it kept me reading but not as enjoyable as some of his others.

He’s back to his best I have to admit that when I read the first chapter, my hopes rather sank but it warmed up and had me gripped and enthralled after a short while. Love the characters, the offbeat language, and sense of humor.

one of his best After his first two of the series I thought he had run out of things to impart but this book knocked that idea on its head. Good read, fast moving, insightful about war and tension filled with surprises

Best grey man book yet. More gripping, better characters and having lived in Asia that side of the book was interesting too. Hope he keeps getting better….
