It's Official!
My friends, the date is settled.
To Stand
is releasing on Saturday, April 20th - that's just fifteen days away!To celebrate, I'm holding a release party on the 20th, from 2-4, at Bonsai Books here in Cheyenne. If you're able to make it, I'd love to see you there!
And if not, you'll have another chance the next week, on Saturday the 27th. I'll be selling books at the homeschool spring craft fair, at Calvary Chapel (9209 Ridge Rd) from 10-1.
Which event, if either, are you most interested in?

Brightstar Release Day!
Hey y'all! April must be the month for releasing books, lol. My
To Stand
is coming in four days, and today Jared N. Michaud's Brightstar is hitting the shelves!Obviously I've already read this, lol, since I left a review; I bought an ARC copy from the author at a local event. But it's now officially published, so yay!
Now, I practically never read sci-fi, but I really enjoyed this story. In Brightstar, you can expect to find:
-a lovable Chosen One
-a mysterious power, which only some know how to use
-weird guys I can't figure out 😆 (aka the Telestry)
-a fun group of sidekicks
-KEEVAN!!! the kid with an Australian accent (he's minor, but I love him, so there you go 😜)
-an unknown, sinister force
-and a promise of plenty more epicness to come (bcuz epicness is totally a word XD)
-oh and did I mention an AWESOME battle at the end with one of the creepiest monsters I've ever read O.o
Yeah, ik I'm long-winded. To quote Brandon Sanderson, "This is going to take a while. I'm a fantasy author. We have trouble with the concept of brevity." (lol so true XP) But long story short, I recommend this! (Unless you hate sci-fi, in which case still give it a try.)
Jared is also running a Kickstarter campaign to publish a companion anthology of short stories. I've read a couple of the stories he's planning to include (one's on his website, and I'm subbed to his newsletter) and yeah, I want more 😅
And be on the lookout for a character interview with the MC, Nate, coming to this blog . . .

We Gave Our Tomorrows Release Day
Hello everyone! Before you get excited, no - release day is not until May 8th, so I haven't moved back the big day. This post is ABOUT release day. 😉
I am actually going to be on the road on May 8th, driving back East for my graduation ceremony which is on the 11th! 👩🎓 (I took college online, which is why I have to drive cross-country to the ceremony. 🫠) So I will not be online to post anything on release day proper.
But, Phoebs . . . if you're gonna be driving, why did you set the release for the 8th?
Well, I set the date long before I realized I wouldn't be home. But I had a reason for making release day the 8th, which is a Thursday instead of my normal Saturday release. Some of y'all have probably heard this before, if you stay connected over at the We Gave Our Tomorrows site. But for those of you who haven't, May 8th this year is the 80th anniversary of the end of WWII in Europe. So, since it's going to be the end of my WWII writing journey (at least for that book, there will probably be others!) I figured it was fitting to release We Gave Our Tomorrows on V-E Day.
Now, there will be a post on the WGOT site for release day, because I can pre-write and schedule posts on WordPress. So if you really want something special to mark the release, you'll want to head over there next Thursday. 😉
