The Christmas Songs Book Tag

Since my last post wasn't much of one, and I'm trying to get in the holiday spirit (despite the lingering effects of whatever I got before Thanksgiving), let's do a tag! Katja left this one open, so I'm going to steal it! (Yes, I do love tag thievery. 😎)

Apparently this tag was created by Jana @That Artsy Reader Girl - do note that I haven't personally vetted this site. 😊 For the character-based questions, I'm gonna try to answer them with my characters as well as others!

1. “You’re a M...

Things Are Happening!

Hi everyone! We kick off the holiday season with being busy as usual 😆 Last weekend I was at the Heroes & Harmony Holiday Craft Market and it went really well! THANK YOU to everyone who was there!!

I decided to release a short story I wrote a few years ago. It’s from the Tales of Veridon series, and it’s a Christmas story relating how Killian and Raven first met. Here’s the Amazon link!

In other news, Trains and Tulips by Savannah Jane McCrary is releasing on Friday! Y’all, I’m SOOOO E...

Short Story and Some Art

Hihi everyone! I just posted a short story that my brother wrote over on We Gave Our Tomorrows‘ website. It’s called “Loose Birds, Loose Brains” and it was for an English assignment.

I’ve also been steadily working on Yesterday Was Long Ago – I’m into Chapter 7 with nearly 17K words, but there’s a lot left to write! I’m planning to have the story go through about March 1968, and I’m in late June 1967 right now. But I’m really having fun; a certain lovable but troublesome character is hogg...

The Music Tag

Hellooooo, y'all! I hardly slept last night so I am in DORK MODE, you have been warned 🤪 But anyway, Miss Special hit me with this tag right after I got back from an exhausting trip last week, and it's taken me until now to get around to it. But here I am so LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED WOOOOOOO 🥳

Der Rules:

Write ten songs that come on shuffle (no skipping) Write your favorite lyric from each song Tag some people

Soooo, the only playlist I have (aside from my slowly growing W...

Those Are People

Hey hey, everyone! I apologize in advance if this post isn’t very cohesive; I just got back from an exhausting trip, and despite sleeping like a baby last night, my brain is still not working properly (which is normal for me, but anyway).

This is sort of a hybrid post; somewhat of a Veteran’s Day tribute, a bit of an exploration of the whys behind my writing, and a life update. And I feel like the quote I’ve chosen may not be the best lead-in for talking about writing military fiction, but ...

The Write Into Fall Tag

I was gonna do a movie review of Martin Luther (1953) for Reformation Day, but for personal reasons I decided not to. (Don’t ask.) So instead you get a tag that Katja surprised me with. 😆

And I’m gonna steal the tag graphic even though I wasn’t part of Novelists in November, because it’s so pretty! 😇

ONE: What project + book are you most excited to work on this fall?

Yesterday Was Long Ago. And Motto of Glory too, if my brain will get anywhere with it 🙄 Both of which have zero fall vi...

An Interview with Given Hoffman (Author of the MARKED Series)

Hi y'all! You might have noticed that I haven't been very active on here for the past few weeks - reason being, I had to switch web host providers and that's been a nightmare. 😣 But we're now up and running again, thank God, and to celebrate here's an interview with one of my favorite authors! As you'll recall from a previous post, she's coming out with Book 3 in her medieval adventure series soon, and I'm SUPER EXCITED about it!!! So without more ado, allow me to introduce Given Hoffman! 👏

The “What My Characters Would Think of Me” Tag

So I stole this tag from Journey Bloomfield (actually she told me to consider myself Officially Tagged, so I didn't have to steal it . . . but stealing is fun anyway 😝) and it looked like a lot of fun! Now, I'm not currently writing despondent fantasies where I drag my poor charries through the mud and briar patches, but since my current characters are all soldiers, there's a lot of things I can still do to them. *rubs hands and chuckles in villainous glee* *characters give me concerned looks* ...

A New Kickstarter!

Y’all should know by now that I’m passionate about geeking out over the books I love, as well as spreading the word about other Christian authors. So with that said, I am gonna hop right into today’s post, because I’ve got exciting news!

A few years back, I discovered Christian indie author Given Hoffman. She’s written a contemporary suspense novel – The Eight Ransom – and she’s also been working on a medieval series, MARKED. The first two books, and The Rebel’s Mar...
