I can honestly say that this is an animated film at which you can take a nice relaxing nap. I see a lot of animated films with my children and I cannot always do that. Five stars for restfulness.

A Sound of Thunder by Ray Bradbury
"This story is so great! My 9th grade students love it. We end up discussing the butterfly effect and watching the Simpson’s version from Treehouse of Horror. "

“Tiger got to hunt, bird got to fly;
Man got to sit and wonder 'why, why, why?'
Tiger got to sleep, bird got to land;
Man got to tell himself he understand.”
Kurt Vonnegut, Cat’s Cradle

Lord Byron
“Start not—nor deem my spirit fled:
In me behold the only skull
From which, unlike a living head,
Whatever flows is never dull.”
Lord Byron

John Kennedy Toole
“A firm rule must be imposed upon our nation before it destroys itself. The United States needs some theology and geometry, some taste and decency. I suspect that we are teetering on the edge of the abyss.”
John Kennedy Toole, A Confederacy of Dunces

John Kennedy Toole
“I suspect that beneath your offensively and vulgarly effeminate façade there may be a soul of sorts. Have you read widely in Boethius?"
"Who? Oh, heavens no. I never even read newspapers."
"Then you must begin a reading program immediately so that you may understand the crises of our age," Ignatius said solemnly. "Begin with the late Romans, including Boethius, of course. Then you should dip rather extensively into early Medieval. You may skip the Renaissance and the Enlightenment. That is mostly dangerous propaganda. Now that I think of it, you had better skip the Romantics and the Victorians, too. For the contemporary period, you should study some selected comic books."
"You're fantastic."
"I recommend Batman especially, for he tends to transcend the abysmal society in which he's found himself. His morality is rather rigid, also. I rather respect Batman.”
John Kennedy Toole, A Confederacy of Dunces

Kurt Vonnegut Jr.
“During the Vietnam War... every respectable artist in this country was against the war. It was like a laser beam. We were all aimed in the same direction. The power of this weapon turns out to be that of a custard pie dropped from a stepladder six feet high.”
Kurt Vonnegut
