Hi:

Until recently, I considered myself a scientist, not a writer: I have a Ph.D. in psychology, I got into statistics, and I work for a major biotech company. We do have a gene therapy program, and I am fascinated by the prospect of curing genetic diseases. I authored and co-authored several scientific papers, and I love Sci-Fi movies and books.

Then, about two and a half years ago, I suffered an unexpected health crisis. I got in touch with several health care providers who cared. This showed me the importance and healing power of human connection.
