To explain a little about myself seems daunting, so I’ll begin by saying that at some point in my life, I’ve been all of these things: a single mom, a divorced person, an assistant librarian, a forestry technician, a wildland firefighter, a waitress, a camp counselor, a college student at three different universities, a crop circle investigative reporter, a freelance writer, a blogger, a Hurricane Katrina survivor, a teacher, a mentor teacher, a hiker, a kayaker, a yoga junkie, a person who has moved many, many times and above all a deeply curious human being.

Sher J. Stultz Writers block comes and goes. As a teacher I have time in the summer to write, but I find it tough. Not sure why. I guess I just want to be outside. T…moreWriters block comes and goes. As a teacher I have time in the summer to write, but I find it tough. Not sure why. I guess I just want to be outside. The best writing season for me is in the autumn. And when I am really stuck, I quit writing and go do something physical. I clean, plant, walk, organize or go to a movie, kind of like Harold Torkelson (character from the The Rescue) ... my brain needs to go on autopilot for a while.(less)
