I am excited to attend the 9th Annual Broadleaf Writers Conference on Saturday and Sunday, September 21-22, 2024. The 9th Annual Broadleaf Writers Conference will return to the Decatur Library in Decatur, Georgia.

The conference will showcase a fabulous list of agents, publisher representatives, educational panels, workshops, and plenty of opportunities to meet (even online!) and share your work.

Each year, She Writes Press and SparkPress run the She Writes Press and SparkPress Toward Equality in Publishing (STEP) contest to offer two women authors of color a publishing package (valued at $10,000, plus a 500-book print run) to publish on either She Writes Press or SparkPress.

This year marks the seventh annual contest launch, with submissions open May 20, 2024, through July 25, 2024.

I was one of the 2021 STEP contest recipients and She Writes Press/SparkPress has acted as a wonderful partner in my publishing journey. I am grateful to everyone at She Writes Press/SparkPress who helped me bring Love in the Age of Dragons to readers world wide.

What a wonderful event! I was so happy to spend time at the Lemonade Days event on April 20-21, 2024. Thank you to the Dunwoody Authors and Friends Bookstore for organizing this opportunity for local authors to sign and sell books at the event. It was fantastic sharing Courageous Cody’s Western Adventure and Love in the Age of Dragons with new readers.

Thank you again to librarians, Danielle Price and Joshua Beasley of the Centerville Branch Gwinnett County Public Library, for inviting me back for an Author Visit & Talk on February 19, 2024. I thoroughly enjoyed speaking with library patrons about my Young Adult, award-winning novel, Love in the Age of Dragons. It was a pleasure reading with the audience and discussing my publishing journey with patrons. I look forward to future opportunities to return to the Centerville Branch.

I had a wonderful time presenting with a fellow author about the writing and publishing process. I was thrilled to discuss my journey with writing and publishing, Courageous Cody’s Western Adventure and Love in the Age of Dragons.

Thank you to A Novel Idea for hosting a fantastic event on June 20, 2023 at the Vintage Pizzeria in Dunwoody. This was an awesome event for authors to speak about and share their work with Atlanta area readers. I was so happy to speak with and collaborate with fellow authors, readers, and aspiring writers.
