Born in Brooklyn and raised in Queens in a Dominican household, gave Jennifer a contrasting view of the world. American traditions took a side while Hispanic culture reigned supreme. Growing up in a strict household, books became the escape necessary to survive. Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Historical Fiction became her windows to worlds unheard of within her family.

Expanding her world knowledge pushed her to think in a more empathetic way that she felt was important to share with others. She wouldn’t find her footing until college when Facebook was young and gave a simple yet powerful prompt, “Jennifer is …” From there quotes and quips formed into nuggets of wisdom that transferred from screen to paper, collecting in a small notebook that grew in ...more
