139- Be Inquisitive
Zennurgy is a manifestation of inqisitiveness. It was born from examined questions.
1. How can I use quarantine to grow?
2. What skills contribute to self development and becoming my full self?
3. How can this self development journey become a community where people can contribute their journey and wisdom?
We've now been on this journey 5 years.
While often used interchangeably, inquisitiveness and curiosity have subtle differences. Curiosity is a general desire to learn and explore, while inquisitiveness emphasizes the active pursuit of knowledge through questioning and investigation. In essence, curiosity is the motivation, and inquisitiveness is the action driven by that motivation. Think of it this way: A curious person might be fascinated by self development, while an inquisitive person would actively try to understand what it is, how it works, and where it came from by asking questions and examining it. That's what we do here.
And fostering inquisitiveness is important because it can lead to:
1. Life long learning
2. Empathy
3. Deeper skill building and understanding and more
Paul Edge is an indie author who writes SciFi predominantly because it allows him to test his characters' endurance and abilities when pitted against impossible situations. He's joining me yo discuss being inquisitive and his author journey and his books. Join us.

Episode 137- The More You Know, The More You Grow
We live in a 3d world, a world of sights, sounds, tastes, smells and things to touch. So it might be normal to forget that much of what we see, smell, hear, taste and touch came from someone's inner world, their knowledge. It came from their desires, dreams, goals, thoughts and imagination. Building your knowledge is more than just learning facts and trivia. There's more than just mental knowledge. There's emotional, interpersonal and even learning how to hear one's own intuitive voice.
Join us as we explore and discuss different aspects of knowledge such as:
1. Self-Awareness and Acceptance of
personality, beliefs, strengths and weaknesses.
2. Clarity and Control:
Knowledge can lead to a greater sense of clarity and control over your life, as you become more aware of your values, needs, and desires.
3. Wholeness and Balance: alignment, rather than masking parts of yourself.
4. Meaning and Purpose:
By connecting different aspects of your life and experiences, you can create a more meaningful and purposeful existence.
5. Stronger Boundaries: more meaningful relationships and a greater sense of integrity through a knowledge of communication, personality types and other factors
6. Emotional and Mental Well-being:
Learning self care and stress relief techniques
7. Overcoming Limiting Beliefs:
By exploring different aspects of yourself, you can uncover limiting beliefs and work towards personal growth and transformation, and authenticity.

Here's a little introduction to my guest. Lisa Amowitz is an author of young adult fiction and a cover designer. Her fantasy trilogy, beginning with An Island Strange and Wild (2024), takes inspiration from The Secret Garden and has been praised by readers for its lyrical writing and rich atmosphere. Similar positive feedback greeted the series' prequel novella, A Promise Bright and Fragile (2024), as well as the trilogys second book, A Secret Deep and Savage. The third, as yet untitled, book is scheduled for release in late 2025. All books in the Lost Garden series are currently in production as audiobooks, set to release in late summer/early fall 2025. Additionally, this summer Lisa plans to release a book in an entirely new genrea cozy paranormal mystery entitled A Whiff of Murder.
Lisas prior works include Until Beth (2015), Vision (2014), and Breaking Glass (2013)the last of which she re-released in 2022 with an audiobook following in 2023. She has also contributed to the YA anthology Unbound: Stories of Love, Transformation and Monsters.
Lisa designs covers for her own books as well as select clients. Her dynamic designs aim to capture the essence of each story and draw readers in.

Episode 135- KINDNESS as a Key to Wellness
Kindness plays a crucial role in self-development by fostering positive relationships, boosting self-esteem, and improving overall well-being. It encourages empathy, compassion, and resilience, contributing to a more positive and fulfilling personal journey. Join us as we discuss how this value is still vital in a world that often purports that kindness and empathy are impediments that stop one from getting ahead.

Summer Solstice Sister Circle: Reclaiming Space, Sisterhood, and Solace
(Inspired by the book The Red Tent)
The ancient world was egalitarian and matriarchal for 95% of its existence. Then patriarchy and colonization restructured the world. But what it could not change was the fact that women who lived together synced cycles. And during that week that they bled, they entered "the red tent", a place where they left the world and demands of men outside and fed themselves: mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. They breathed. They rested. They spoke their minds. They did self care, and they supported and encouraged one another. They took up space unapologetically.
If you have a yoni, come to our red tent. (Ages 13 and up).
