A study of photos of 7,000 objects in the UK Science Museum reveals a diminishing color palette. We now live in what I have been calling since the 1980s "Beige World." Since then, even beige has given way to white, black, and gray. Movies are all gray now. Speak up, people. Call out aesthetic mediocrity as you encounter it. This state of affairs exists because we let it. What are you afraid of? Wear that orange sweater! Resist Beige World!
