Muhammad Ali 'Monty' Bandial, grew up in an Army household, living and assimilating the varied cultures and practices from all over Pakistan. He studied at Cadet College Hasan Abdal, then as an undergraduate at the Lahore University of Management Sciences and did his Master's from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore.
He worked for more than a decade in the Civil Services, where he was also posted in the National Counter Terrorism Authority. He plays tennis and polo. In his spare time, Monty likes to sketch and paint. He is a movie buff and a voracious reader of fiction where his first love of western novels persists.
