Born and raised in Northern California surrounded by livestock and agriculture, I enjoyed small town living. Growing up, stories about animals captivated me. I remember sitting in a rocking chair reading with my mom and brother. 'The Tale of Tom Kitten' and 'The Tale of Two Bad Mice' by Beatrix Potter were two of my favorites. To this day, neither my brother nor I can remain still while sitting! Always rocking!

As a young adult I grew passionate in my belief that children should always have confidence in their own self-worth. I penned 'How Joey Became King,' my first book, to remind readers that what makes them different from others need not limit their dreams, but may help them achieve their dreams.
